Korean War Memorial

Memorial Plaza

The Korean War Memorial is located at the northeast corner of Ajo Way and Forgeus Street.

Our nation has a proud military history of men and women of different backgrounds, who have made the ultimate sacrifice.  This memorial represents our deepest gratitude to all who have served so bravely and courageously in the name of freedom around the world. This Kino Veterans Memorial was solemnly dedicated on the morning of June 2, 2002, in honor of 12 local soldiers, members of “Easy” Company, 13th Infantry Battalion, Marine Corps Reserve unit, who answered the call to service and sacrificed their lives so others may live free. We never forget these fallen soldiers or the thousands of others who also have paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep peace.
